Just a few more art thangs, some skate photos, and a couple instavids from an amazing trip to Sweden.
This is a christmas present that I made for a friend named Robin, the Star-Wars-loving brother of my wonderful girlfriend Kim. I got to meet their whole family over the holidays and had a whole lot of fun. Everyone I met was super rad and welcoming. I had such a great time. Within the first 10 minutes that I met Kim's sister Wiveca, she had showed a HUGE fondness for Despicable Me's "Minions", so I made her this:
It was such a incredible trip! I got to see some reeeeally cool stuff like...
This is where the KING OF SWEDEN lives. Whoa.
They also have so many skateparks, we had trouble deciding which ones to go to. We ended up only having time to go to one, but man it sure was fun! It was under a bridge just like my favorite skatepark, Marginal Way.
We even iPhone filmed a bit.
SO FUN. I feel so fortunate to be able to spend the holidays on the other side of the planet, and that I got to experience so much while I was over there. If you want to see more photos from the trip, check out my Instafeed at:
In older news, before I left for Sweden I made this:
It's the second piece of the "Intelligent Animals" series. The first one was the octopus in the last blog post.
About a month ago, a friend of mine named Justin Carney came to the Mukilteo YMCA skatepark and had his gopro with him. We had a lot of fun buddy-filming for a bit before he had to leave, and just a few days ago he sent me some of the clips. I brought them into Premiere, found a cool song, and made this:
'twas a grand ol time. See the griptape under my feet? Check it out:
This'll be rad once I skate and dot the other two pieces to make this complete.
I also received some more photos from the session that I had at Judkins skatepark, in Seattle. These were taken by Daniel Hager, who operates under the name 36 Frames Photography when it comes to these things...
Check out the video of all this filmed by Bryan Busalacchi.
Alright y'all that's about it for now. Thank's for checkin in, and have a wonderful new year!!!!
I was flippin through one of my old sketchbooks and found something similar to this, so a few nights ago I dotted it.
I also got a handful of new photos and videos to share too. This one was from an evening at Judkins skatepark. We got there pretty late, but still managed to stack a few clips before the sun went down.
About a week later, me and my buddies Ben and Sawyer went to Beacon hill skatepark around 10pm. It was about 10:25 when I asked Sawyer if he wanted to film some bullshit on the spine, he said yes. So we stacked this:
That was super fun.
I recently grabbed my part from the 2013 Element Skate Camp Staff Video and threw it up on my youtube channel. Ew that sounded gross. Anyways, this is what I was up to this summer:
I also found these photos while collecting footy last week. Turns out I have a lot more skate footage than I thought. Get ready for a Singler Super Edit coming soon...
These were actually takin about a year ago or so when my buddy made a documentary about me for his film class:
Welp, that's about it for now. Thanks for stoppin by and stay tuned for more music, art, and skateboarding coming soon....
It's been about four months since I updated this thing so I figured it was about time. Here's some art and stuff that I've done since June.
That last one is actually a concrete coffee cup. I've been filmin a fair amount for this video that I'm tryna put out too. Just a few more bangers and it'll be done. Since June, Ive been stackin photos too. Here's most of em...
I also got a couple photos in ISSUE TWO OF WICKED WORLD THAT JUST CAME OUT!!!! I'm so hyped on this northwest skate mag and am uber honored to make it on a couple pages. That's Nolan on the cover. Holy Crap right?
Alright y'all that's about it. Thanks for stopping by!
Today's the day! I'm leaving Seattle for a few months to teach skateboarding at the Element YMCA Skatecamp just outside of Fresno, CA. I've been looking forward to this for a loooong time. I dont really know what to expect, but I know I'm gonna have a blast. This place is got 4 skateparks in the wilderness next to a lake surrounded by trees taller than anything in West Seattle. Shitllbedope. I'm HYPED.
Just look at that half pipe. They also got a mini mega ramp, 2 street courses, a bowl, and another more tranny-friendly park. At least, that's what they had last time I was there...
I'll make sure to take lots of photos. Speakinaphotos, here's one that I took of the last Boards I Dotted.
Aight I'm out. I gotta pack. Thanks for checkin in. Stay tuned. Much much more coming soon....
This time around I got a few more pieces of art as well as a new clip from the Muk made by Jake Menne. Peep game.
This is a temple in Cambodia called Ankor Wat that I made for my coworker Savin. Definitely one of the most time consuming pieces that I've ever made.
This ones for an awesome little dude that was in the camps that I helped teach in Mukilteo named Logan. He shreds. One down, two to go!
In other news, two Saturdays ago I placed 2nd at the Zumiez Best Foot Forward contest at the supermall. So stoked! Especially since I didn't even make finals last year. Also in the skate realm, I got together with my buddy Daniel the other day and shot a boneless 360 tucknee into a hill bomb near ballard. It looked like this.
And lastly, here's the Muk clip that Jake and I have been working on.
Thanks for stopping by!!! More to come very soon...
Allllllrightchall this time around I got a new song I made, a new video I put together, a skate photo, and a few pieces of art that I completed to unload soooooooo....here.
This ones my current skateboard, so I dotted the griptape to show the reflection of the Seattle skyline in some aviators of someone standing at the end of a Ferryboat. Okok it me. My job brought me to Bambridge Island last week and I had to shoot a flick of our filthy city.
I put it in the reflection of some aviators because of what I did on the last board that I skated...
This ones my last skateboard. It's a field in Marceille reflected in my sunglasses referenced from this photo that I took to France a few years ago..
I've been wanting to do an aviator series for a while now because of this photo, and I can't wait till I produce a quadrillion more. Maybe Ill have a whole show devoted to reflections? iono. Ill figure something out. Anyways, my Mom had a birthday in early April, and she LOVES horses, so I made her this.
I didn't really like how corny it turned out, but she loved it :)
HANYWAYS on the skateboarding front, here's a little fun clip that me, Akash, Pavel, and Arron GoProed on a trip down to Portland. I got a hold of the footy and made this.
We were supposed to go down with 2 filmers but they both bailed. Then the back up filmer bailed. Oh well, it was still super fun. I have been filmin a lot around Seattle though, so that's good. I really want to come out with a BANGIN street clip before I leave for Cali in June, and have been chompin at the bit with it. Here's something that I pulled off just goofin around about 2 weeks ago that me buddy Zay instagramed without me knowing it.
I LOVE ME SOME HANNAS. Haha. Anyways, I think that's about it for now. Imma leave y'all with a little song I made one night about a week ago after watching "Louie", that awesome show about Louis CK. Thanks for stoppin by, and stay tuned.
I got a lot of rad news this time around. New art shows, skate clips, articles, sponsors, contests, and a new job! I'm stoked. It's been tough to keep this thing updated while pullin 50 hours a week at my current jobs, but hey I gotta pay rent somehow. First off, peep this flier I made for an art show that I was in, along with a whole bunch of other artists.
Yes that is Gilligan's Island Font. Anyways, after I finished it and sent it out, I went to Marginal way and found that someone had printed it out and posted it on one of the pillars!
I was way stoked to say the least. The show was a huge success and hella money was made to benefit Marginal Way. Someone bought the board I donated! Heck yes.
If you or someone you know are interested in being part of this show, get at me on facebook or shoot me an email and I'll fill you in on the details...
I was hyyyyyyped. Speakin of free shit, a week later I got this from Element. Turns out I'm officially sponsored by them now!!! Casual Industries also just put me on. Woo Woo!!! More news about all that coming soon...
I can't wait to start working down at the camp down in Fresno in two months!!! It's gonna be soooo sick. In other skateboarding news, I found a whole bunch of Yakama footage from like 2010 on my computer so I made a little clip. Peep.
Also in the skateboarding realm, I GOT MY FIRST INTERVIEW IN A MAGAZINE!!!! Check it out on page 16 below. My buddy Jedd Rockwell is the main dude behind all of this. He did such a great job!!! You can find this mag at all of the skate shops in the greater northwest :)
Welp, that's about it I think, besides the great news that I'm going to be working for ProMotion Arts as a Video Editor! ProMotion Arts provides award-winning corporate and special event videos, motion graphics, web streaming, and multimedia solutions to clients including Microsoft, Starbucks, Woodland Park Zoo, FareStart, Dorsey & Whitney, and the University of Washington. I'm super stoked for this opportunity, and I cant wait to get started. Not gonna lie I pulled that strait from their facebook.
Thanks for stoppin in and checkin this out yall! Have a wonderful day!
Tryna get productive on a rainy day after work. Got this kickflip and

Late night Beacon mission after the lights turned off.
Filmed by Paul Bond.
So I just got back from a week long trip to Whistler, BC, and hot damn I had a good time. While I was away, I got to spend time with my family and snowboard a bit, but also got some new art completed as well as a new skate edit, and I got some new flicks to share too.
Here is the board that I'm currently skating, thanks to my buddy Phillip who hooked it up with this awesome shape. I was hyyyyyyyyped, and still am. This thing is so fun. Anyways, after I put in a zillion hours of dottin on this piece, my buddy Jimmy sent me this:
Fuck yes I entered, and I WON!!!!! Along with a few other cats who found enjoyment by creatively expressing themselves upon their griptape. I'm not really sure what I won, but they wanted my address so I guess their sendin me some shit. THANKS JUST LIVIN'!!! Follow em at @JSLV on instagram and check em out online at http://www.jslvcorp.com/
So while I was in Canada, I passed by this bar called Garfinkle's in Whistler Village that apparently has the largest dancefloor around, but more importantly, THEY HAVE A MINIRAMP...on thursdays.
I had to check it out, so when Thursday night came around, my brother's girlfriend Emily shot these....

IT WAS SOOOO FUN!!!!! Super dooper live. The Dj was killin it too. His name is DJ Rich-A out of Vancouver, BC. Check him out HERE and like his page right now he deserves it. I had such a blast, along with every other person that was there. I wish more bars had miniramps in them. SHITWASDOOOOOOOPE.
That was such a great trip. In other news, here's this:
Paul Bond and I filmed this about 2 months ago or so right before the lights turned off at the park. Even though it was super dark, we kept filming. That edit will be in front of your face soon, so be patient.
WELLLLLL thats about it for now. Thanks for checking in, and have a wonderful day. Keep it gangster Seattle.
Hell yes I got another artshow gig! This time my homie Ian hooked it up with some wall space at this new shop called Southwest Skate in WESTWOOD VILLAGE right by the Jamba Juice. I also got some new skate flicks to share as well as a video that my buddy Hector shot of the Marginal Way Benefit Show / MiniRamp Jam at the 2 Bit that I had so much at. But first, peep this nosebonk into a bank in Gerogetown.
That was a pretty fun mission. I got some footy of this spot too that I'll post next week. Guess who shot that one? That's right, Sawyer Purman. He shot this one too about 20 yards away.
Close by that spot is this one. I sent the following photos to SnoCon but they never used any of em for anything so I thought I'd share em here.
Fun times. I even tried to make that front noseslide into a Nomadic Ad but the owner wasn't havin it for some reason. Oh well.
Soooooo last last Saturday there was a benefit for Marginal Way Skatepark at the 2 Bit. They raised 1500 dollars. It went like this:
Thats me walljaming over metal mark. I had such a great time. My buddy Hector shot a little video he called Stoking Wintertime check it out.
Hanyways.... I got my art up at Southwest Skate, a new skateshop located in Westwood Village right by Jamba Juice and QFC for about a month so IM HYPED. After I hung em up a few nights ago, I instagramed some of the walls. Check it.
Next time your on the south side of West Seattle, be sure to stop in and buy some product from em!!! Support your local CORE SKATE SHOP. 24th and Barton. Do it.
Alrighty then I think that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a spectacular day :)
